Dear Friends and Partners,
It’s our pleasure to present the integrated impact report of the Community Health Empowerment Foundation (CHEF) for 2016 – 2023. Community Health Empowerment Foundation (CHEF), a registered, not-for-profit organization, was established in 2012 to address the social, educational, health, economic, relief, and development needs of the underprivileged of the country, especially the rural poor.
At CHEF we set out to articulate and implement sustainable care that counts in health, education, socio-economic, development, and relief sectors in line with the strategic development goals (SDGs). Being fully indigenous, CHEF implements her projects from the perspective of a marathon runner. Accordingly, the Trust’s strategic focus has been to implement programmes that have sustainable impacts and are instrumental in transforming the lives of the poor and the vulnerable; this constantly features in our ethos.
CHEF implements special interventions that organize communities to harness their individual and collective potentials as change agents, enabling them to facilitate poverty reduction by disrupting hierarchy and changing the power relations in such a way that they feel empowered to participate effectively in the areas of health, education, policy and rights, governance, economic and social sectors.
