About Community Health Empowerment Foundation (CHEF)
CHEF Nigeria began its activities at the beginning of the new millennium and became officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in 2012. The organization has the capacity to operate in all 36 states of Nigeria and the federal capital territory. It maintains two offices, one in Abuja and another in Lagos. CHEF has established itself as a leader in various areas, including Advocacy, Communication, Social Mobilization, Telehealth implementation, and Disease program management in areas such as Malaria, HIV, WASH, and Reproductive Health. Additionally, CHEF offers services in Development Consultancy, Proposal Development, Project Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, Community Dialogue, and Engagement, Project Review and Evaluation, Learning and Skills Transfer, Knowledge Management, Resource Optimization and Planning, Policy Tracking, Policy Adoption, and Public Private Partnership building.
Since its inception, CHEF has been actively involved in diverse fields, such as Health, Education, Social Sectors, Community Engagement and Projects, Development and Relief, Governance, Economy, and Finance. The organization partners with well-known entities like IHS Nigeria Limited, Exxon Mobil, Esso Exploration, Health Matters Incorporated, Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria, and Mercyhands International to implement impactful projects in the health, social, and educational sectors throughout Nigeria.
One of CHEF’s core strategies is to ensure ‘economies of scale,’ which allows the organization to deliver excellent results with reduced operational costs without compromising on quality. They achieve this by engaging in community dialogues and advocacy to drive behavior change and maintain positive outcomes.
CHEF is highly committed to Corporate Social Responsibility projects and collaborates with various organizations to execute critical projects that have a meaningful impact on communities. Additionally, the organization leverages media channels such as print, electronic, and social media to generate visibility and coverage for its donors.
Through community-based health initiatives and other activities, CHEF continues to make a positive difference in Nigeria, contributing significantly to the well-being and development of local communities.
